Platform Administrator Training Series

The series of videos below have been crafted to provide critical information and guidance to new administrators and to be a reference for those administrators who wish to refresh their knowledge or begin the use of a platform feature not currently utilized.


For those new to managing your organization's platform and user accounts, we highly recommend you watch these videos in the order in which they are listed. Please note that the use of some features may be limited based on the configuration of your account and whether your organization utilizes individual user accounts. Getting Started

All users, including Agency Admins, access the First Arriving platform through a single unified login page. This video will walk you through your first log in and provide you with important information related to managing your organization's account.



Managing Devices

Dashboard devices are what drives the big screen displays and dedicated desktop browsers  across your organization. This video addresses the fundamentals of managing your devices.




User Management

User Accounts extend the First Arriving platform beyond your station walls giving every member of your organization secure, personalized access to critical information from any device, anywhere, anytime.


Even if your organization only uses admin accounts today, keep watching — this applies to you too.



Google Sheets

Google Sheets is one of the most powerful and flexible ways to get dynamic, structured data onto your First Arriving dashboards if you are not using another integration through a third-party provider.  This video will provide you the critical information you need to get the most value from your Google Sheets.



Google Slides

Google Slides is a popular way to display rotating content on your dashboards — announcements, schedules, training info, whatever you want cycling on screen. In this section, we'll cover how the integration works, how to configure it, and how to fix the most common issues.



Dashboard Messaging & Videos

As an Agency Admin you have the ability to push real-time messages and scheduled videos directly to your large-screen displays — separate from the user content feed, and designed specifically for your wall-mounted dashboards and kiosks. 



Content Categories

Categories are the backbone of how information gets organized, filtered, and discovered across your platform, making life easier for both members and admins. Even if you're not yet using individual user accounts, watch this video because a solid category structure will help you organize and manage content for your dashboards too.




News & Announcements

News and Announcements gives you one place to publish updates, reminders, and general information to your personnel across desktop, mobile, email, and your dashboards.




Events

Events is your built-in tool for creating and managing internal agency events for training, meetings, inspections, community events, and are visible across desktop, mobile, and optionally your large-screen dashboards.



Platform Connect

Platform Connect is your centralized staff directory of essential links, tools, and resources. Give your members one place to find the websites and systems they use most, without hunting down URLs.



Document Library

The Document Library is your central repository for SOPs, policies, training manuals, safety data sheets, and any other documents your organization relies on. Everything uploaded here is instantly accessible to your members across any device.



Acknowledgements 

Required Acknowledgement ensures your team actually receives and confirms critical information. Use it across News and Announcements, Events, Platform Connect, and Document Library to set deadlines and drive accountability across your organization. With individual user accounts, your team has everything at their fingertips. It's as simple as checking a box. 



Launching Dashboards 

Beyond your physical station displays, Agency Admins and authorized users can pull up a full dashboard view from any desktop or tablet browser. This turns any workstation into a virtual station display, showing the same layout, integrations, and content rotation as your wall-mounted screens.

The First Arriving Mobile App
